Announcing Trips and Tours to Future Travelers

Travel
Quotation

One of the gladdest moments of human life, methinks, is the departure upon a distant journey into unknown lands. Shaking off with one mighty effort the fetters of habit, the leaden weight of routine, the cloak of many cares and the slavery of home, man feels once more happy.

Samples

These samples represent a promotional and informational postcard campaign for a group tour to Kenya. Select any of the cards to see a larger version. You can read a synopsis of the use of each card, below.

Uses of each postcard in the sequence of 4:

  1. The tour designer initially announces the tour via a postcard to his list of prior travelers and members of a target group. Along with a one page brochure and website, the postcards complete his advertising materials.
  2. Next, the tour provider augments the tour with an optional excursion. He informs the registered parties and sends some postcards as a reminder to people who have expressed interest but have not signed up yet.
  3. As the trip comes near, he builds excitement by sending a welcoming note to the participants with some last minute details.
  4. Finally, when the trip is complete, the last postcard shares a group photograph and gives the tour provider the opportunity to thank the participants. Throughout this process, the tour provider maintains consistent contact, builds enthusiasm, and creates loyal customers.

This postcard campaign is symbolic and does not represent exact tour details. These specific postcards were never mailed. GaiaTours used with permission. You may see the Kenya tour itinerary on their website.
